Our story
Why we started Cognify Partners
Cognify Partners came out of the work itself. Our founder spent eight years in the Royal Navy, then worked as a contracted engineer on commercial and naval vessels around the world: installation, commissioning and sign-off, at sea and in dockyards. He went on to build his own engineering business in the sector, which still carries out that work today.
The pattern he kept meeting was the same everywhere. The job was done well and then written up twice. Data was captured on board and typed in again ashore. The figures everyone relied on were assembled by hand, by one person, the week after they were needed.
The tools that fixed that were never the expensive ones. They were small, specific systems built around how the work already happened. Cognify Partners exists to build those for other operational businesses, and to hand them over so the team owns what it runs.
